Summer Break: Day 1

 Today is our first day of summer break!  After our morning chores, we loaded up and headed to West Park to check out a kids music show put on by the Carmel Parks and Recreation Department.  It was a mad house of kids and parents and we ran into lots of neighbors and friends from church.

Caleb says, "You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose."  True Caleb, so true.

Last Day of First Grade

Connor finished 1st Grade on Friday!  He had a wonderful year and really flourished in his new school.  He's grown so much this year and we're so proud of the great boy he is.  We're ready for a great summer and then on to 2nd grade!

she's a biker girl

 On Memorial Day Kylene asked Byron to take her training wheels off.  That night she was riding by herself after we gave her a push and by Wednesday, she was starting herself and she was off to the races!

It's so fun to see her little legs pedaling furiously.  You go girl!

Caleb-y

 Our sweet buddy loves to laugh, play chase, tackle his brother and sister, eat pickles, go on walks, play outside, eat graham crackers, go down slide, swing, dance to music, clap his hands, read lots and lots of books, and snuggle with his blankie.

I love this picture because it's the combination of two of Connor's favorite things: reading and interacting with Caleb.  This was a book about snakes that Connor had checked out from the school library that day. Caleb was enthralled with the book as Connor read.  Sweetness.

Little Ballerina

 Kylene finished her first session of ballet yesterday and overall really enjoyed learning "ballets" as she calls it.  She had a wonderful teacher in Miss Jennifer and all the little girls were darling to watch.  They learned various ballet positions and terms and 3 dances to different songs.  It was so fun for me to take her and watch her having a good time!

 "So you say we're going to try this cereal thing huh?  I'm not so sure how I feel about this."

 "Mom?"

 "Dad?"

 "Okay I see where we're going with this.  I'll take it from here guys."
